“Eat the Heat” is the Nationally Recognized and Award Winning annual fundraiser hosted by the Austin Chapter of NACE, the National Association of Catering Executives. Each year NACE-Austin partners with a local charity and produces an event that showcases Austin’s finest culinary talent and their favorite ways to beat the grueling Texas summers. The theme for this 10th Annual edition of “Eat the Heat” is WHITE HOT . . . Come Spice Up Your Night. The summer’s hottest party will be held on Wednesday, August 25^th, at the downtown Sheraton Austin Hotel. Guests will be treated specialty cocktails hors d’oeuvres, desserts by Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, live entertainment and a grand finale guaranteed to Rock the House.

On August 14, 2010, Helping Austin presents their sixth annual fundraising gala, The Ice Ball, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas. This year’s Ice Ball features a collection of ice sculptures, live auction packages, gourmet dinner and live music. Come join Moonshine at this wonderful event! Corks for Cancer is a unique wine event featuring a large scale wine tasting, award-winning appetizers by Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, door prizes and a silent auction with items from some of Austin’s favorite restaurants, businesses and artists.

Corks for Cancer takes place on Tuesday, July 27th from 5pm to 10pm at Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Build The HYP Gala 2010

On Friday, May 21st, Moonshine will join up with Austin Habitat for Humanity and Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) to raise money for needy families. All proceeds go directly to build a home for an Austin family. The event begins at 7:30 PM at Mercury Hall and features some of Austin’s favorite restaurants including Moonshine. Join Moonshine for the 12th Annual Umlauf Garden Party on Thursday April 22nd from 6:30-9:30PM. The Garden Party celebrates the art of sculpture and the work of 20th century American sculptor, Charles Umlauf. Proceeds from the party are dedicated to the preservation of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum and help underwrite the museum’s award-winning education programs. Twenty or more of Austin’s fine restaurants will serve delectable samplings of their cuisine, paired with complementing wines generously provided by Twin Liquors.
